The choice is huge, with carpets of every type, whether antique or simply “old”, and all in excellent condition. There are over one thousand antique carpets differing in origin, decoration and size. From the smallest Caucasian rugs up to large carpets commissioned especially from workshops in ancient times. There are court carpets made in Isfahan, Raver and Agra, and carpets made for local use that have become works of knotted art, from Serapi, Usciak, Daghestan and Khotan. There are also soft Peking rugs and attractive Flemish tapestries. |
