Mimmo Lo Coco Tappeti is specialized in the sale of rugs and has been doing business in this sector since 1954. Our exclusive showroom, located in Brescia, exhibits a wide range of carefully chosen ancient and modern oriental rugs. The success of our enterprise is based on direct import and professional reliability.

Mr Mimmo Lo Coco is the founder of the company. When he was very young he started working in the field of Oriental rugs in 1954 in Brescia, where he became an assessor for the local Court of Justice.

The architect Jim Lo Coco designs and coordinates the implementation of the line of contemporary rugs for the company. He is a consultant for the Chamber of Commerce in Brescia and he teaches History and Technique of the Oriental Carpet at Enaip Regional School for Restoration in Brescia. He has also a column devoted to knotted carpets in a magazine specialized in this sector.

In 1995 a commercial office and a centre to collect rugs were set up in Teheran, which reduced import time and costs and enabled him to deal directly with the cleaning, washing and maintenance operations for the rugs brought into Italy.

Passion is one of the main features of Mimmo Lo Coco’s business, but certainly the direct contact with the “source” of the rugs is a clear sign of competence and trustworthiness, which allows not simply the sale of carpets, but also their restoration, washing and after-sale support.

We offer a wide choice of rugs, from ancient, old or recent Persian ones to those coming from Caucasus and Turkey; from the magnificent rugs coming from Agra workshops to the Chinese and Afghan carpets, from the tapestries and ancient or recent Aubusson Carpets, to the ancient, huge, over size rugs that are currently in great demand especially in the restoration of old mansions and palaces.
