| 1954 Mimmo began working in the
oriental carpet sector in Brescia, Italy at a very young age. |
|
|
| 1972 He became an officially recognised
expert in the field of high quality carpets. |
 |
| 1990 the collection centre in Dubai in the
United Arab Emirates was formed. Dubai is a natural
port from which goods from the Middle East, Turkey and
the Caucasus are imported.

|
 |
|
1992 marked the anniversary
of forty years of business. The event was celebrated
with an exhibition in Villa Mazzotti in Chiari (Brescia)
of his collection of best carpets.
|
|
|
 |
| 1993 the gallery I Nodi del Tempo
was opened in Brescia historical centre, a genuine reference
point in the field of carpets which, thanks to its extensive
variety, places Mimmo among the most important carpet
dealers in Europe. His market philosophy is simple and unchanging:
continuous investment in top quality carpets backed by skilled
and professional support. This attracts a growing number of
international customers and an increasingly solid professional
relationship with Italian architects and antiquarians. |
 |
|
1995 the washing and maintenance
centre in Teheran was opened to help deal with the
increasing quantity of carpets in transit. The centre
washes and finishes carpets from all the main Iranian
production areas; it stands next to the Teheran commercial
office which is essential for streamlining the complex
Customs procedures.

 |
| Whereas Mimmo s personal interest
has always been distinguished by his passion for oriental
carpets, his direct contact with their sources emphasises
his professionalism. Working with his two sons for more than
a decade, he avails himself of the collaboration of expert
helpers in the countries of origin. The selection of carpets
with which he deals is limitless, from ancient to modern Persian
rugs, carpets from Turkey and the Caucasus, splendid examples
from Agra, and rugs from China and Afghanistan. Then there
are antique and recently manufactured tapestries and Aubussons,
huge oversize carpets which are currently very
popular in the redecoration of old town houses, etc. |
